Modern Masters Decorative Painter's Clear Acrylic Dead Flat Varnish 8-Pack

The Exterior Acrylic Dead Flat Varnish by Decorative Painter is a water-based clear liquid varnish that comes in a 1 qt container. Its composition includes Solvent Naptha, Light Aromatic, and 4.4 Dimethyloxazolidine.

This varnish provides coverage of 350-450 sq-ft/gal and has a curing time of 1/2 hr to touch, 2 hr to dry, and 12 hr to fully cure at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 50% relative humidity. The ideal application temperature is between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit, with a flash point of over 200 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a VOC of 92 g/L and a specific gravity of 1.042, with a mild odor.

This Exterior Dead Flat Varnish is designed to eliminate unwanted variations in sheen that can occur when using semi-gloss base coats with Decorative Glazes, allowing the finish to maintain an aged effect. However, it is not recommended for use over Modern Masters Metallic Paint Collection™ or Metal Effects® Reactive Paints.

The varnish can be applied using a brush, roller, or spray and resists abrasion and water. It is non-yellowing and offers a clear, stable, non-flammable, translucent liquid finish.
